![]() So let’s look back amongst the 1980’s and 1990’s relive those moments. Many of those games occupy my fondest schoolhood memories. Whether it were the Apple II, Commodore 64 or an MS-DOS PC, there was a plenty titles amongst the platforms. Publishers like Broderbund, The Learning Company, MECC and even Sierra On-Line inspired young minds to enjoy… maybe tolerate school. However, when they busted out the library of edutainment software the school had purchased, they had my immediate attention. Only a few teachers and curriculum ever garnered my attention. I had an Algebra II class in where I did the math and realized I only needed an 85% on all of the quizzes and test to pass with a C-grade (I ended up with a B). I eventually embraced the “slacker” role starting in middle school, being satisfied with Bs and Cs, several hour naps, minimal effort and the scorn of my teachers and professors (three time college dropout here). ![]() I found homework and reports tedious and often figured out ways to avoid doing them altogether. I didn’t get along with most kids my age either. I found it overly dramatic, full of bullies and overall drawn out. I don’t know about you, but I hated school.
